While I most enjoy making little cute creatures and amigurumi or AmiguruME people, of course, I also like to take a break once in a while and make scarves, hats, and stuff like that.
The awesome people at Yarnspirations were kind enough to send me the yarns to make something from their Fall Lookbook, and there's a ton of gorgeous projects to choose from. I decided on the Coming Up Roses hat, not only because its a glorious pattern but also there happens to be a beautiful Elliott Smith song of the same name. But, I digress.
Isn't it rad?? I love the colors, and the pattern may look complicated with all the color work, but its actually really simple to do.

This is absolutely the best embellishment I've seen. I have to do a few of these. I crochet for various charities and this would make a very special hat.
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane! Yes they would be great for charity!
DeleteI love the Diamond Daisy Rug. I would have to make a few as the dogs would love to lie on it especially in the winter.
ReplyDeleteI love the Meridian Scarf and Ease Pullover. Your hat is lovely. My daughter cross stitches and I crochet -- together we could make these for girls in crisis -- they would feel extra cared about. [thesimplyblogs at gmail dot com]

I'm knitting gifts for my friends who supported me after my mother recently died.
ReplyDeleteI love the hi-low pullover, it is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI saw this hat in the book and TOTALLY wanted to make it. But I live in Arizona, so I don't need it. But I'd love to win and make it for my sister in Philadelphia. Also, can I crochet up that gorgeous hair? SO beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful, but I particularly LOVE the Coming up Roses Hat!! I think it would be the one thing I'd make for myself!
ReplyDeleteNow that you explained the cross stitch, I really want to try the Coming up Roses Hat! adjz@sbcglobal.net
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I love the rose hat! But I also want to crochet a rug, and I've got my eye on that Diamond Daisy Rug!

The folksy yoke jacket is gorgeous! It is probably way beyond my skill level with knitting at the moment. Maybe one day. The coming up roses hat is so pretty. I may have to make more than one to give away.

ReplyDeleteLooks very challenging project.
I really like this hat it combines two of my favorite pastimes. Crocheting and cross stitching. I would love pretty red hat with a creamy white rose. Cheriethompso@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI really like the cache baskets!! I've been looking for a cute way to store my yarn and I think these would be perfect! i_love_books at aol dot com
ReplyDeleteI gotta make the pouf. Softee chunky is one of my all time fives!
ReplyDeleteI love the pouf and the diamond daisy rug! So cute! I would love that rug in my kitchen. But the hat would be fantastic, too. I need a great winter hat.

It's so hard to choose just one...but I'm thinking I NEED those stash baskets! AND I'm asking myself, with my love of both crochet AND cross-stitch, how have I never combined them before? Your rose beanie is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI really like a lot of the knitted stuff but the thing I would be most likely to make is the stash baskets, I'm sure I could find a lot of uses for those and I like crocheting better than knitting.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first visit, your blog is great. Success is always yes to his blog.
ReplyDeleteI would love to make .. or try to.. the rose hat and matching sweater. They are just too cool. I love the colors. acctingmajor@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteOh, these cute little creatures and amigurumi are just so cute! I just discovered this landing page for SaaS and I'm already in love with the design. The use of these small characters has completely won me over. It's amazing how something so small can bring so much joy and personality to a website. Keep up the fantastic work, and I can't wait to see these cuties!
